Justice For All<\/span><\/a>\u2019s <\/span>Save Uyghur<\/span><\/a> Campaign strongly condemns the Trump administration\u2019s new <\/span>agreement<\/span><\/a> with the Chinese Communist Regime, which undermines both U.S. law and the government\u2019s own <\/span>genocide determination<\/span><\/a> by facilitating access to rare earth minerals sourced through forced labor in Chinese-occupied East Turkistan.<\/span><\/p>\n

Despite the United States\u2019 formal recognition of the ongoing genocide against Uyghurs and other Turkic peoples\u2014a determination made under the first Trump administration\u2014this latest deal prioritizes economic interests over human rights. The agreement comes as a June 2025 <\/span>report<\/span><\/a> by <\/span>Global Rights Compliance<\/span><\/a> exposes how critical minerals from Chinese-occupied East Turkistan are tainted by state-imposed forced labor and enter global supply chains, implicating major U.S. brands and industries such as Avon, Walmart, Nescaf\u00e9, Coca-Cola, Starbucks and Sherwin-Williams.<\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act<\/span><\/a> (UFLPA) prohibits the importation of all \u201cgoods, wares, articles, and merchandise mined, produced or manufactured wholly or in part in any foreign country by forced labor.\u201d This new deal directly contradicts that mandate.<\/span><\/p>\n

Justice For All\u2019s Save Uyghur Campaign demands that the U.S. government immediately cease all such agreements and fully enforce the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act in line with its stated policy.<\/span><\/p>\n
